Bengaluru, India, August 3: Habitat for Humanity, the global non-profit housing organisation and ‘Sustainable Development Partner’ of the Asian Tour, is linking with the TAKE Solutions Masters to help fulfil its aim of providing a decent place to live for everyone.
The US$350,000 TAKE Solutions Masters will see some of the region’s most talented golfers contend at the Karnataka Golf Association from August 9 to 12.
The tournament is sponsored by TAKE Solutions, a globally recognised domain expert offering end-to-end Life Sciences solutions and is committed to putting Indian golf and its players on the global map. The formidable line up of S.S.P. Chawrasia, local boys Khalin Joshi and Chikkarangappa S. as well as Chiragh Kumar, will all be competing in the Asian Tour event.
Habitat for Humanity’s presence at the TAKE Solutions Masters will create awareness among the golfing fraternity about the need for decent shelter and help it raise funds. On Tuesday (August 7) they will host an exclusive pro-am tournament.
The event will attract a cross-section of celebrities like former Indian Cricketer Syed Kirmani, business leaders like Shashi Kiran Shetty (Chairman – AllCargo Logistics Ltd), R Ramakrishnan (CEO – Polycab Group) and Sanjay Sanghani (CEO, Unicorn Pickles) who are coming together to support the fundraising activities, and in particular the drive to transform the lives of farmers’ widows across India.
The fundraising will continue with a live and silent auction of golf-related memorabilia and unique experiences, with the proceeds adding to the funds raised during the day.
Rajan Samuel, Managing Director, Habitat for Humanity India said, “Driven by the vision to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity India has served more than 16,00,000 individuals across India. As we celebrate 35th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity’s work in India, we feel proud to be associated with Asian Tour as the Sustainable Development Partner. We thank TAKE Solutions Masters for advocating the cause of affordable housing. This partnership will help the widows of India’s farmers to build the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to improve their lives.”
