Lahiri slips at WGC Bridgestone Invitational


August 4: India’s Anirban Lahiri slipped to a share of 16th place after returning with an even-par-70 in the second round of the World-Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational on Friday. 

The 2015 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion mixed his card with three bogeys and three birdies for a two-day total of five-under-par 135 at Firestone Country Club.

Like his opening round, Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat carded another 70 again for a tied-46th place, 11 shots behind England’s Ian Poulter, Tommy Fleetwood and American Justin Thomas who shared the lead.

Japan’s Kodai Ichihara signed for a 74  while current Habitat for Humanity Standings leader Shubhankar Sharma of India had a day to forget when he posted a 79 to take 71st place.
