Lahiri moves up at WGC Bridgestone Invitational


August 5: India’s Anirban Lahiri moved up five places to a share of 11th place after carding a third round a one-under-par 69 at the World-Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational on Saturday. 

The 2015 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion traded four birdies against three bogeys at the Firestone Country Club to stay eight shots back of American Justin Thomas who leads with this three-day total of 14-under-par 196.

Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat also climbed up the leaderboard after his 69 lifted him up to a share of 36th place. 

Current Habitat for Humanity Standings leader Shubhankar Sharma of India improved with a 72 following rounds of  72 and 79 to take 69th place while Japan’s Kodai Ichihara signed for a 78 to end the day in 71st place.
