5 things we learned at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways - Asian Tour

5 things we learned at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways

Fiji, August 6: Here are 5 takeaways from the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways.

  1. Bula! And we are not talking about Gaganjeet Bhullar. Bula actually means ‘life’ in Fiji and in a greeting, it implies wishes for ‘good health’ and ‘hello’.
  2. With nine Asian Tour titles in his bag, Bhullar now holds the most number of wins by an Indian on the Asian Tour.
  3. Prior to his latest victory at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airway, Bhullar had five top-10s which included two runner-up finishes at the Maekyung Open and Queen’s Cup in Korea and Thailand respectively.
  4. It was a beach oasis like no other. One of the most scenic places on the course was the Fiji Airways Beach Oasis at the par-three eight which was located alongside the Coral Coast. It was the perfect vantage point to catch the action while enjoying the views, drinks and snacks.
  5. 38 out of 58 members who teed off made the weekend cut, ensuring a strong Asian Tour presence at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways, which was tri-sanctioned by the Asian Tour European Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.
