Fiji, August 6: Here are 5 takeaways from the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways.
- Bula! And we are not talking about Gaganjeet Bhullar. Bula actually means ‘life’ in Fiji and in a greeting, it implies wishes for ‘good health’ and ‘hello’.
- With nine Asian Tour titles in his bag, Bhullar now holds the most number of wins by an Indian on the Asian Tour.
- Prior to his latest victory at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airway, Bhullar had five top-10s which included two runner-up finishes at the Maekyung Open and Queen’s Cup in Korea and Thailand respectively.
- It was a beach oasis like no other. One of the most scenic places on the course was the Fiji Airways Beach Oasis at the par-three eight which was located alongside the Coral Coast. It was the perfect vantage point to catch the action while enjoying the views, drinks and snacks.
- 38 out of 58 members who teed off made the weekend cut, ensuring a strong Asian Tour presence at the Fiji International presented by Fiji Airways, which was tri-sanctioned by the Asian Tour European Tour and ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia.
